Cowgirl Soccer Adds Transfer

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State has added transfer Catherine Parish to its soccer program, it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Colin Carmichael.

“We’re very fortunate to add a player of Catherine’s caliber to our program,” Carmichael said. “With her being from Oklahoma, we’re very aware of the talent she has, and we expect her to come in and make an immediate contribution for us.”

A native of Tulsa, Parish spent the 2009 season at Northwestern, where as a freshman she played in 19 matches with 17 starts. A 5-foot-5 defender, Parish played a key part in six shutouts for NU.

Parish played prep soccer at Jenks High School, where she was the 2008 NSCAA Oklahoma State Player of the Year and an NSCAA All-American. She was a member of the Region 3 Olympic Development Team and also competed for the Edmond Soccer Club, where she helped the squad to four state championships and an appearance in the 2005 national finals.
