Daily Police Report: Homicide No. 7 Tallied

On the above date at 1645 hours, the Tulsa Police Department responded to 1516 S. 78th
East Avenue in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers discovered Deandre
Burrell, B/M, DOB: 02/13/1990 down in the living room of the home. Deandre Burrell
suffered from gunshot wounds to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. The
victim’s grandfather returned home from a funeral and discovered Deandre down in the
living room.
There were no signs of a forced entry and the home had been thoroughly ransacked. The
victim had been dropped off at home by a friend at approximately 1335 hours.
A witness reported seeing two black males wearing dark clothing walking south on 78th
EA from 15th ST. and looked out of place in the neighborhood. Another person was seen
approaching a house after getting out of a black 1990’s four door Lexus with gold trim
and dark tinted windows. The black male was described as being 509 and stocky, wearing
a black ski type jacket and blue jeans. Any person with information should call Crime
Stoppers.
