Dodgers Affiliated Drillers to Open April 9

The Tulsa Drillers have finalized its 2015 schedule, the first as a Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate. The Drillers will open the season on Thursday, April 9 when they host San Antonio at ONEOK Field.

The initial homestand will consist of six games and will run through Tuesday, April 14. It will include three games with the Missions and three games with the Corpus Christi Hooks.

The 70-game home slate is highlighted by 20 fireworks games at ONEOK Field. Every Friday home game will again feature post-game fireworks, while fireworks will also follow six selected Saturday games.

In addition, special fireworks shows are scheduled for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25 and Thursday, July 2. The July 2 show will be the first of three straight fireworks games that will run through Saturday, July 4 in celebration of the Independence holiday weekend.

The entire schedule will feature 140 games, including 70 home games, divided into two halves. The first-half of the Texas League season will conclude on June 14.

Of the 70 games to be played at ONEOK Field, 47 will be played on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Drillers will play 10 home games during the month of April, 10 in May, 16 in June, 17 in July, 13 in August and 4 in September.

The schedule for May includes only 10 games because ONEOK Field will be the site of the Big 12 Baseball Championships from May 19–24. The tournament will result in a couple of scheduling quirks, including a single home game with Northwest Arkansas on May 2 and another one on Memorial Day, May 25. It will also produce a stretch of 16 home games in 19 days for the Drillers during the month of June.

The home schedule includes seven weekday, day games. The day games are scheduled for: April 14 (12:05 p.m.), May 6 (11:05 a.m.), May 11 (11:05 a.m.), May 12 (4:05 p.m.), June 3 (12:05 p.m.) and June 15 (11:05 a.m.)

Standard starting time for most games at ONEOK Field will remain at 7:05 p.m.. Sunday home games through July 5 will begin at 2:05 p.m., while Sunday games the remainder of the year will have 7:05 p.m. start times.

The final regular season home game for the Drillers is scheduled for Friday, September 4. The regular season will end with a three-game series in Springfield with the final game slated for Labor Day on Monday, September 7.

Several different ticket packages for the 2015 season are now available, including a Friday Night Fireworks Plan. Fans interested in packages can contact the Drillers at 918-744-5901 or at
