Dorrell Signs With Shock

Scholanda Dorrell (formerly Robinson) is returning to Tulsa as she has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Shock, President Steve Swetoha announced.

Dorrell was the Shock’s second leading scorer in 2010 with 11.9 points a game but was traded to the San Antonio Silver Stars last off-season for a second and third round pick in the 2012 Draft. “We are extremely excited for the opportunity to bring Scholanda back to Tulsa,” Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg says. “She had one of her best years in Tulsa in 2010. She’s an underrated offensive player, a stopper on defense and fits in perfectly with our offensive and defensive schemes. She’s a great teammate and will be a perfect fit in Tulsa.” Dorrell started 22 of 32 games in which she appeared for the Silver Stars in 2011, averaging 4.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 16.2 minutes a game.
