Downtown Tulsa’s New Courtyard Named “Best Adaptive Reuse” Worldwide
TULSA Okla. – The global leading hotelier, Marriott International, recognized downtown Tulsa’s Courtyard by Marriott as their Best Adaptive Reuse hotel. The award was presented to locally-owned Hospitality at the Marriott CFRST Franchisee and Owners Conference in San Antonio last. Chairman and of Marriott International J.W. Marriott, Jr. was present as the best in class of Marriott brands were recognized. “SJS Hospitality is an outstanding representative to the rest of the franchise community and establishes a benchmark of excellence,” exclaimed Tye Turman, Area Vice President of Lodging for Marriott International.
In June, the Courtyard by Marriott – Downtown open to the public after $16 million of renovations to the 1920s Atlas Life Building located at 415 S. Boston Ave. The hotel is listed on Historic Hotels of America and the building on the National Register of Historic Places. The first and seventh floors retain the original architectural beauty while the other floors have been updated with a fresh, modern design of the new Courtyard brand.
