Dress for Success Hosts Annual Fashion Show

Dress for Success Tulsa, a non-profit organization at 1109 S. Peoria Ave., is excited to announce its annual fashion show, “Step Up To Success” on Saturday, Sept. 30 at “The Commons” at OSU Tulsa, 700 N. Greenwood Ave. at 7 p.m.
Karen Larsen from KJRH, Channel 2 will serve as emcee for the event. Susan Ruley from Stein Mart will serve as model coordinator.
Modeling the latest in fall and winter fashions will be Tulsa Real Estate Associates Marilyn Ball, Coldwell Banker Rader Group Realtors; Francine Bandy, McGraw Realtors; Marci Bain, Walter & Associates; Krystie Cupp, Mortgage Broker from Charter Mortgage Corporation; Jamie Elder, McGraw Realtors; Sheri Firestone, Re/Max Executives; Jane Maxey, Owner of Jane Maxey – GMAC Real Estate; Julie Tetsworth, Coldwell Banker Rader Group; Lanna Willcox, Owner – Charter Mortgage Corporation; and Karen Wells, Keller Williams Realty.
“Fifth Avenue” reserved runway tables for eight are available for $600 and “Park Avenue” tables for $400. Individual tickets are $35 per person. Call 744-7417 for ticket information and reservations. All proceeds benefit Dress for Success Tulsa.
A live auction will be held featuring a spa package from Woodhouse Day Spa, a diamond “Circle of Life” necklace donated by Moody’s Jewelry, a jade ring by lia Sophia, an area rug from Mill Creek Carpet and Tile, a Shannon Kaye Portrait Design package and a helicopter ride donated by Greg Simmons.
Silent auction items include Progressive Pilates Health and Fitness package, The Home Collection, Marilyn Ihloff Salon massage and hairstyle, pillows from T.A. Lorton, Clay Artwork by Tulsa Sculptress Yvonne Lovell, a cooking class for two from The Stock Pot, a beer tasting party for six at McNellie’s Public House, necklace from J. Spencers, a Meadowbrook Country Club golf package, a silver frame from Los Cabos Fine Imports, a Bottle of Paul Drouet champagne from Village South Liquors, along with other items.
Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Lambrusco’z to Go, Just Catering by Orr, Jerry Gilliam Catering, The Olive Garden at Utica Square, Camarelli’s, The Cheesecake Lady, The Chalkboard Restaurant, Garlic Rose and Bourbon Street Café.
Table centerpieces provided by local florists include Stems, Flower Creations, Flowergirls, Signature Flowers, My Master’s Flowers, Mrs. DeHaven’s Flower Shop, Toni’s Flowers, The Wild Orchid, Art in Bloom and Petal Pushers.
Dress for Success helps suit low-income women so they can make a tailored transition into the workforce. They accept donated business attire, with a particular need for plus sizes along with purses, panty hose, shoes, jewelry and cosmetics. The suits that are donated are given directly to a woman interviewing for a job. There is never a charge to our clients.
