Drillers Stadium to Host Special Events in 2006
Drillers Stadium will be a busy venue during the months of April and May. In addition to hosting 28 regular season Tulsa Drillers games, the stadium will host a pair of NCAA match-ups and a pair of high school doubleheaders.
The annual Bedlam Game between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners will be played at Drillers Stadium on Friday, May 12 at 7:35 p.m.
The series between the two Big 12 rivals is often mentioned as the best rivalry in NCAA baseball. The game in Tulsa will begin a three-game series with games two and three being played at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. Tickets prices for the Drillers Stadium Bedlam Game will be $13 for Box Seats, $11 for Reserved Seats and $9 for Upper Reserved Seats.
Prior to the Bedlam Game, Oklahoma State will make one other visit to Tulsa. The Cowboys will meet the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles at Drillers Stadium on Tuesday, April 4. The game will be a home game for the Golden Eagles and will start at 7:05 p.m. Tickets will be available through the Drillers Ticket Office with Box Seats $10, Reserved Seats $7 and General Admission $4.
In addition to the NCAA games, Drillers Stadium will also host the “Drillers High School Showcase” on Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19. The showcase will feature a pair of doubleheaders between eight different teams.
In the first game on April 18, Claremore will face Bishop Kelley while Broken Arrow and Owasso will meet in the second game. On April 19, Sand Springs will play Union in the opener and Jenks will face Bartlesville in the second game. The opening game each night will start at 4 p.m. with the second games beginning at 7:15 p.m.
“We are pleased to be able to feature some of the best high school baseball teams in the state,” says Drillers Director of Operations Mark Hilliard. “We hosted two games last spring, and we are excited to provide an even bigger showcase for high school baseball this year.”
