Easter Miracles Still Happen Says St. Thomas of Canterbury Student Erin Kelly
PR Log – Apr 03, 2010 – Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York: St. Thomas of Canterbury second grade student Erin Kelly believes in miracles, Easter miracles specifically.
The Saturday morning before Easter 2010 Erin Kelly had yet to decide on her Easter project for the poor. She skipped her Easter Egg Hunt to concentrate on her project. Remembering what she was taught in class about asking Jesus for help, she prayed for assistance.
Later that day while leaving her house, she discovered the pink Barbie big wheel she had as a toddler many years earlier that was left behind at a previous residence. Erin immediately got to work with hot soapy water and a stiff bristle brush restoring the ride to near new condition before donating it to a church with an urban ministry for the poor.
“Obviously we are proud of our daughter,” said Greg Kelly her father. “What she calls a miracle we see happen frequently with the students at St. Thomas of Canterbury. They may be young but her schoolmates are already setting the example to emulate for community leadership.”
When not engaged in school activities and those of a seven year old, Erin Kelly (aka Lil’ Sgt Abn) volunteers her time helping to raise money for veterans often appearing at events with Crossroads Custom Rides and working with many talented musicians as well through VETUNES
