English-Spanish Translation Business Started

TULSA TRANSLATIONS: Rolf Olsen, left, and Zaida Kepford-Castro have started a new English-Spanish translation business called Tulsa Translations. In the photo they are with Major Matt Kirkland of the Tulsa Police Department’s Mingo Valley Division, where they translate the weekly crime bulletin.


Rolf Olsen and Zaida Kepford-Castro have combined their English and Spanish language skills to form a new business, Tulsa Translations , which provides translation (written) and interpretation (spoken) services in Oklahoma. The company is based in Tulsa.

Kepford-Castro, a native of Tijuana, Mexico, has been providing language services to businesses and government agencies in the Tulsa community since 2001. She holds a law degree from Baja California State University in Mexico. She is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa, Class 36 and is currently working toward her .

Olsen was born in Mexico City, where he lived until age 19. His experience includes six years as a bilingual journalist in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Currently he is the translator for the bilingual newspaper, Hispano de Tulsa. He holds master’s degrees in journalism and in Teaching English as a Second Language.

Both are certified interpreters for the Tulsa County District Court.
