Extra Refuse Stickers Available for Purchase

Refuse and Green Waste stickers can be purchased at City Hall in downtown Tulsa.
City of Tulsa ‘Extra Refuse’ and ‘Green Waste’ stickers are now available for purchase Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the street level payment center on the second level of Tulsa City Hall located at 175 East 2nd Street.
The stickers are sold in sheets of five stickers per sheet for $2.50 each. In addition to being available for purchase at City Hall, ‘Extra Refuse’ and ‘Green Waste’ stickers are also sold at Tulsa area QuikTrip locations.
The stickers are a component of the City of Tulsa’s new pay-as-you-throw residential collection service and are to be applied to refuse and yard waste that doesn’t fit inside the city-issued refuse cart.
Yard waste, to include organic or garden material such as leaves, grass, plants, branches and hedge trimmings, that doesn’t fit inside of a city-issued refuse cart, will require a ‘Green Waste’ sticker to be applied to each transparent bag or 4’x2’ bundle of stickers/branches. Yard waste will be collected on the customer’s primary collection day by City of Tulsa Green Waste collection crews.
Garbage that doesn’t fit inside of the refuse cart is required to be bagged and have an ‘Extra Refuse’ sticker applied to each bag before being collected by NeWSolutions, the City of Tulsa’s contract hauler for refuse and recycling collection.
