Fall Fashion Trend Alert

Sick of sequins and silks? You want to know what the upcoming trends are and how to wear them? Read on! Everything is coming up skulls and boots?

Yes, think pirate girl meets urban cowboy. But beware — a little separation of the hottest styles of next season are needed. Cowboy up! Combine western boots with relaxed pieces like gauzy or pleated skirts.

Pair flat or chunky heeled boots with a little black dress for a simple but chic look. Make sure a little leg shows between the skirt and the boot. These boots come in all colors and shapes. My favorite is the NA*NA Etty in honey, a slouchy boot with gold accents. Steal the look from Jessica Simpson and tuck your jeans in the boot. Wear with a funky tee and a hip belt and you’re set.

Want to get even more funkdified? Try the next hottest trends: skulls and crosses. Keep this look from looking too tough or gothic by buying pieces with a sweeter edge. Like an Isabellas original boy beater tank with rhinestone skull & crossbones in pink, blue or yellow complete with a little bow atop the skull head.

Or, a Switch embroidered thermal tee with pink cross-stitching. Look for J&Co denim with rhinestone crosses on the pockets & tie-dye tunics.

Also, look for great pieces by Joystick (the company that brought embroidery into full swing) like oversized shrugs with big embroidered crosses. The key to wearing these two big trends is to combine feminine with tough. In color or in fit. Think sweet on top, tough on bottom or the other way around. You’ll look like you’ve just found that buried treasure if you rock these styles correctly and it will be the perfect touch to combine urban chic with city sexy.
