Farrell Runs at NCAA Championships


COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Oklahoma State sophomore standout Tom Farrell put the finishing touches on OSU’s indoor track and field season Saturday, clocking a time of 8:14.16 in the 3,000 meters at the Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Texas A&M.

Farrell’s time was enough for 16th place in a field of the top runners from around the country.

junior German Fernandez, who already has an individual championship on his record, joined Farrell in the race, but was forced to step off the track in the opening lap due to an injury.

The Oklahoma State track and field program now turns its attention to the outdoor season, which is scheduled to begin with the Tulsa Duels on March 18-19.
