F&CS Looking for a Few (More) Good Merchants
TULSA, Okla., April 1, 2010 – Family & Children’s Services is currently enlisting retailers to join the group of merchants selling Care Cards this fall. Merchants can show their support of the local community, as well as enjoy a surge of early holiday shoppers, when they participate in the 12th annual Care Card promotion Oct. 28 – Nov. 27.
There is no up-front cost to merchants. However, participating businesses will be promoted across Tulsa with posters, direct mail, merchant lists and advertising. Family & Children’s Services also has sponsorship opportunities for businesses who would like to be credited on Care Card promotional materials. Sponsors who have already committed are Tulsa World and George Kaiser Family Foundation.
Customers who purchase a $50 Care Card enjoy up to a 20 percent discount at most member merchants with the exception of restaurants, food stores, art, antiques and furniture where they will receive a 10 percent discount. All proceeds from the sale of each $50 card go directly toward programs at Family & Children’s Services.
A few of the 180 businesses that have participated in past years include: Bruce G. Weber, Banana Republic, Ethan Allen Home Interiors, Williams Sonoma, Southern Agriculture, Kathleen’s Kids and Hasty Bake.
