Festival Israel Celebrates 57th Birthday


The Jewish Federation of Tulsa will present “Festival Israel,” celebrating the 57th birthday of the State of Israel, May 15, from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. on the Zarrow Campus, 2021 East 71st St., Tulsa.

The festival will feature a “Food Court” with an Israeli dinner, which includes salads, falafel and desserts; “The Shuk,” a market place featuring Israeli merchandise and condiments; and “The Art Room,” which contains an arts and crafts exhibit and bazaar.

Other activities will include “The Kids Zone” and games for the entire family; entertainment by a dynamic band of drummers from Israel and local artists; and a “Visit Israel” exhibit where one can walk on a huge map of Israel, see a replica of the Western Wall and get information on the State of Israel.

The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art will also be open.

Admission to the event and the museum is free.
