Football Coach Job Search Underway in Tulsa
January 25, 2010: One of Oklahoma’s premier high schools is searching for a new head football coach.
Antwain Jimmerson resigned as Booker T. Washington High School’s head football coach Monday afternoon.
“We expect an impressive group of applicants,” said Dr. Stephanie Spring, athletic director for Tulsa Public Schools. “A lot of quality coaches would love to lead this talented group of players.”
The Booker T. Washington Hornet football team won the 2008 Class 5A state championship. The school has been in Newsweek magazine’s top 100 U.S. high schools every year since 2005.
Spring said the head coaching position will be officially posted by Tuesday morning.
