Gilcrease Museum has long been an asset to the greater Tulsa area. It is one of the premier western and American art museums in the world.
Gilcrease has continued its excellence with the attraction of the Machu Picchu: Unveiling the Mystery of the Incas exhibit, which is on display through July 10.
Gilcrease is one of only six venues to host this much acclaimed national touring exhibition, which was created by Yale University’s Peabody Museum of Natural History. Gilcrease is the exhibition’s final stop.
The exhibition allows visitors to explore Machu Picchu, located high atop the Andes Mountains in Peru. The exhibition includes many interactive components and features panoramic photographs and the finest surviving examples of Inca art.
