The world-famous Halem Globetrotters are bringing their 2005 “World of Fun” North American tour to Tulsa. The Globetrotters will take to the court on Saturday, January 8, 2005, against the New York Nationals at the Mabee Center. “Our 2004 North American tour was a record-breaking year for the Globetrotters, and as we approach our 80th anniversary, we have grown more and more appreciative of the support we receive from our fans across the country,” says Globetrotters’ owner and chairman, Mannie Jackson. “In 2005, we are excited to bring our ‘World of Fun’ tour to 250 U.S. cities and 40 countries around the globe. We look forward to bringing that Globetrotter world to Tulsa.”

The Harlem Globetrotters have played in 117 countries and before over 121 million fans worldwide. In 2002, the organization was only the fifth team to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame; followed by an introduction into the Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame, and the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame.
