Goals to Exceed for TAUW
The Tulsa Area United Way volunteers announced a new goal for the year. The goal was revealed by a local Girl Scout troop who proudly walked into the conference room carrying large signs.
One by one, each sign was turned around so that the goal was cumulatively revealed. The organization will raise $23.898,673 beginning in September that will help families who have been affected by the difficult economic situation. The goal was decided upon by months of assessments made by the Community Investments Panels, Steering Committee, Campaign Cabinet and the Board.
The Tulsa Area United Way will continue to reach out to the community and help improve the lives of those who need assistance in any way. Photographed are Bill Grant and Samuel whose family has already been helped by the efforts of the Tulsa Area United Way.
