Golden Eagles Roll to 82-52 Victory Over Western Illinois

The Golden Eagles (18-8, 12-3) surpassed their previous high of 11 wins in regular season conference play with Monday’s victory.
Kevi Luper (Adair, Okla.) led all players with 25 points off 7-of-13 shooting from the field, including three 3-pointers on five attempts, and a perfect 8-of-8 mark from the free-throw line. Luper also swiped six steals for a season total of 108.Jordan Pyle (Mustang, Okla.) earned her fifth double-double of the season, scoring 14 points off a 7-of-8 effort from the field, while grabbing 10 rebounds.
Senior Janae Voelker (Newton, Kan.) posted a near triple-double with 10 points, eight assists and seven boards. Cristal Turner (Maidstone, England) scored a season-high nine points on three treys, while Jaci Bigham(McAlester, Okla.) handed out five assists to go with six points.
The Golden Eagles shot 42 percent (27-of-65) from the field, 36 percent (13-of-36) from 3-point range and 88 percent (15-of-17) from the charity stripe.
ORU turned the ball over a season-low 11 times while forcing 23 Leatherneck turnovers on 10 steals. The Golden Eagles lost the rebound battle by a 42-40 margin.
Anneloes Kodde led Western Illinois (9-16, 5-9) with 12 points, while Anne Borgertpoepping chipped in 11 points.
