TULSA – The Oral Roberts University women’s basketball team set numerous team and individual records en route to a dominating 114-43 victory over IUPUI on Saturday at the Mabee Center. The Golden Eagles improved to 17-8 overall and 11-3 in Summit League play, tying the most regular-season conference wins since joining the league for the 1997-98 season.

ORU forced a school-record 47 turnovers, just three shy of a conference mark, while swiping a school and Summit League-record 32 steals. The 114 points were just six shy of a school record and the most against a Division I opponent. The 71-point victory marked the most lopsided win against a league opponent.

Four players scored in double figures, led by Kevi Luper’s (Adair, Okla.) 34-point performance. Luper surpassed 30 points for the third consecutive game after going 9-of-20 from the field and 16-of-17 from the free-throw line. The 16 free-throws tied a school record, while Luper also grabbed eight steals to move into second place in school history for a single season with 102.

Freshman Savanna Buck (Pinehurst, Texas) tallied a career-high 16 points with a career-best three 3-pointers and a perfect 5-of-5 mark from the charity stripe. Fellow newcomer Alex Adekunle (Arlington, Texas) also posted a career-best 16 points off an 8-of-12 effort from the field, while grabbing six steals and five rebounds.

Jaci Bigham (McAlester, Okla.) scored in double figures for the 18th straight game with 13 points, while handing out eight assists. Bigham was 3-of-6 from the field, including two treys, and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Senior Kelly Kindell (Schulter, Okla.) added nine points on three long-range jumpers on five attempts, while Jordan Pyle (Mustang, Okla.) posted eight points and seven boards.

Janae Voelker (Newton, Kan.) recorded four points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals in her 100th career start at ORU.

The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 26-4 lead in the first nine minutes of the contest and held a 54-14 lead at the half. ORU began the second half with an 18-0 run to cruise to the victory.

ORU shot 50 percent (35-of-70) from the field, 50 percent (11-of-22) from downtown and 89 percent (33-of-37) from the free-throw line. The Golden Eagles won the rebound battle by a 42-34 margin.

Briannica Tye led the Jaguars (2-22, 1-12) with 12 points, while Kerah Nelson added eight points and eight rebounds.
