Golden Eagles to Face Missouri State in Opening Round of WNIT
TULSA – The Oral Roberts University women’s basketball team received an automatic bid to the 2010 Women’s NIT and will travel to face Missouri State in the opening round on Friday in Springfield.
The Golden Eagles (23-9) won their first-ever regular-season Summit League title, while the Lady Bears (20-10) received an at-large bid out of the Missouri Valley Conference. ORU will make its fourth postseason appearance in the last six years and the sixth overall.
The two teams have already faced each other this season, as Missouri State posted a 99-81 victory over the Golden Eagles at the Mabee Center on Dec. 19.
