Grand Health Club Acquires Tulsa Southern Tennis

In today’s hectic-paced life, maintaining overall wellness through regular exercise, skin and body care, a dip in the pool, social interaction and yes, a spirited game or two of tennis, just got a whole lot easier. The Grand Health & Racquet Club at 3030 E. 91st St. has an unmatched professional staff, programming, equipment, facilities and services in one convenient location.
Originally opened in spring 2001 as The Grand Health Club, The Grand Health & Racquet Club, owned by Geof and CaSandra Eng and Paul and Betty Abbott, is sporting a new name after recently acquiring the facility formerly known as Tulsa Southern Tennis Club, which adjoined the health club on eight acres east of Delaware Ave.
“This addition of six indoor and 16 outdoor courts allows us to offer our members even more amenities at one site for one membership price,” says Geof Eng. “There is no other place like it if you are looking for a fit lifestyle for your entire family or company employees.”
In addition to now housing tennis courts, an outdoor pool, Courtside Cafe, Kid’z Klub, 100 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment and more, The Grand is staffed by highly trained professionals. “The majority of our staff members hold Masters Degrees,” explains Eng, whose personal background includes managing clubs in Dallas and Washington D.C. and training professional athletes before moving to Tulsa.
As for future expansion, Eng has a long-term plan. “We are fortunate to have plenty of room to expand but our first priority is serving our current members and keeping our 73,000 square foot facility in top condition. Later we will add a junior Olympic pool, children’s pool, outdoor snack bar and more indoor courts.”
