Greater Tulsa Reporter Launches eEditions
By KELSY LORIN TAYLOR
Web Editor and Feature Writer
Greater Tulsa Reporter Newspapers has announced the launch of the eEditions, according to publisher D. Forrest Cameron. “We are very excited to launch this product, which will continue to keep us up to date for our readers and advertisers,” says Cameron. “The eEditions will complement our print editions as well as our website.”
An individual eEdition will be created each month for all six of the Greater Tulsa Reporter Newspapers including the Union Boundary, Jenks District Gazette, Midtown Monitor, Bixby Breeze, Broken Arrow Express and Owasso Rambler. The launch begins with the current Mid-June issue and will continue into the future.
Readers locally and around the world will have the opportunity to read the eEditions at www.gtrnews.com or subscribe to receive the eEditions directly in their email inbox at no cost. Each month, an email will be sent to subscribers where they may link directly to the eEditions.
The eEditions can be read on any number of devices and platforms including the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. They are readable on both Mac and Windows with any browser.
The eEditions have a number of reader-friendly features. Similar to holding an actual newspaper, the pages are manually turned and very easy to navigate. A variety of page views are available for the convenience of the reader. Each of the pages may also be zoomed in and out.
In addition, the entire eEdition is searchable through a keyword search. All archived eEditions will also be searchable.
A variety of advertising opportunities are available within the eEditions. A banner on the top left and right of the screen will enable an advertisement to rotate at 15-second intervals. An advertising index will list each advertiser in all editions and will serve as a helpful resource for readers.
