GTR Student Athlete of the Month: Jacob Pearce, Jenks High School

Jacob Pearce of Jenks High School is the Student Athlete of the Month.
Pearce has a 3.5 and is the team captain of the Jenks Varsity Swim Team. As the team captain, he leads his peers as a motivator in and out of the pool. He helped organize a canned food drive and a Red Cross blood drive.
He is a member of Drug Free Youth and the Jenks VuVu Crew.
As a swimmer, Pearce is a seven time high school All-American and is currently the third fastest high school swimmer in the United States in his events.
Pearce will be attending the University of Virginia on a swimming scholarship.
He is given the highest regards by Head Swim Coach John Turner. “He motivated the other swimmers by the positive things he had to say to everybody and by example. He is a great student as well and a devout Christian. His positive influence and work ethic will carry over to next year’s team and its leaders. The University of Virginia is getting a superb young man and swimmer,” says Turner.
