GTR Wins National Awards for Front Page Design, Internet Site, Local Business Coverage, Furniture Ad
BUSINESS COVERAGE: The Greater Tulsa Reporter Newspapers won four national awards at the 25th Annual Independent Free Papers of America Fall Conference, held in Minneapolis September 15-17. IFPA consists of over 300 member newspaper companies throughout the United States and Canada with a circulation of approximately 20 million readers.The Local Business Coverage Award was given for D. J. Morrow Ingram’s article, “Ardent Healthcare Systems Boosting Area’s Economy,??? which appeared in the Mid-June to Mid-July 2005 papers. The photo above appeared with the article, which featured Ardent President and CEO David T. Vandewater and Ardent Oklahoma Division President Kevin Gross. The story focused on the impact Ardent’s purchase of Tulsa’s Hillcrest HealthCare System has had on the organization, the community and local economy and the company’s plans for future growth. For the story, Morrow Ingram covered a speech Vandewater made to the Rotary Club of Tulsa.
