‘Guess the Balls’ Contest Underway at Renaissance

Hammons Hotel Classic presented by SemGroup, are sponsoring a ‘Guess the Golf Balls’ contest this summer at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center. Jackie Cooper Imports and Mercedes-Benz, tournament partners of the John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic presented by SemGroup, are sponsoring a ‘Guess the Golf Balls’ contest this summer at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center. The winning contestant will draw for a 2006 C230 sport sedan at the annual LPGA event following competition, Sunday, September 10, at Cedar Ridge Country Club.

Now through September 2, a 2006 C230 Sport Sedan will be displayed in the lobby of the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center with an undisclosed number of golf balls inside. Contestants will ‘Guess the Golf Balls,’ and the contestant nearest the actual number will participate in a live drawing for a 2006 C230 Sport Sedan, courtesy of Jackie Cooper Imports and Mercedes-Benz.

The ‘Guess the Golf Balls’ contest, which began July 11, is open to the public through September 2. Contestants must be at least 21 years of age.

The Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center is located at 6808 S. 107th E. Ave. in Tulsa. A complete set of contest rules is available on display at the hotel.

On June 1, Jackie Cooper Imports was named the Official Automotive Provider of the John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic presented by SemGroup. The three-year deal extends through the 2008 event.

In its sixth year, the John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic has become a favorite stop on the LPGA Tour schedule. Past champions include three-time winner Annika Sorenstam (2005, 2004, 2002), Karrie Webb (2003), and Gloria Park (2001). Team SemGroup Update

Natalie Gulbis overtook Cristie Kerr for the Team SemGroup lead at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic in Sylvania, Ohio recently. Gulbis finished second and earned 106 Team SemGroup points and $106,155. Gulbis has seen six Top-10 finishes in 2006. Christina Kim finished tied for 13th and earned 16 Team SemGroup points.

SemGroup, L.P. announced in February the creation of Team SemGroup, made up of six LPGA Tour professionals who will compete against each other in a points race that concludes at the John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic presented by SemGroup, September 4 – 10, at Cedar Ridge Country Club. Team SemGroup will be competing for a first-place $25,000 donation to the winning player’s charity of choice.

The standings to date are Natalie Gulbis 696, Cristie Kerr 689, Stacy Prammanasudh 486, Helen Alfredsson 252, Christina Kim 138 and Carin Koch 15.
