Hall & Oates Auction Guitar for Tornado Victims

Daryl Hall and John Oates have autographed a guitar that will be auctioned for tornado relief. The duo played the Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on May 23, 2013.
Daryl Hall and John Oates returned to Tulsa on Thursday to perform in front of a capacity crowd for the third time at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Due to the recent tornado devastation in central Oklahoma, the duo took action to help assist those in need by signing a guitar that will be auctioned, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to disaster relief.
“The people of Oklahoma have always been great to us,” said John Oates. “Performing at The Joint in Tulsa on the heels of such a tragic event made us want to reach out and help. Our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the tornadoes.”
Details about the auction of the Taylor acoustic guitar will be announced at a later date.
“As soon as the band arrived, they came to me and said they wanted to help,” said Danny Finnerty, entertainment director for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. “It means a lot to have these guys come in and not just play a show, but also lend their support for our neighbors in need.”
