Hardesty Arts Center Launches ‘Art Grab’
After its December 2012 opening, the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa’s Hardesty Arts Center is preparing to launch a new series of 29 art workshops for the public. Art Grab encourages participants to explore their creativity in the facility while learning from local artists.
Designed to give older teen and adult participants a taste of the diverse classes that will be offered in AHHA’s state-of-the-art classrooms in the future, Art Grab will give participants the chance to sample everything from traditional oil painting to film editing. Taught by local practicing artists, each two-hour stand-alone workshop is designed to be a fun and engaging experience. If you’ve ever thought, “I’ve always wanted to try that,” Art Grab is for you.
Workshops are appropriate for all skill levels and no prior experience with a chosen media is necessary. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. All workshops are $40 and materials are provided. A full schedule of Art Grab workshops, class descriptions, and online registration can be found at ahhatulsa.org.
