Hebert’s Celebrating Mardi Gras Feb. 5

Hebert’s Specialty Meats is gearing up to celebrate Mardi Gras. Fat Tuesday is Feb. 5 and Hebert’s will host their annual Mardi Gras Party from 4-7 p.m.

Party-goers are welcome to enjoy free samples of red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, chicken and sausage gumbo, boudin, Cajun chicken wings, grilled sausage, Cajun ribeye and, of course, king cakes. Samples of hurricanes and beer will also be available.

Hebert’s also has king cakes available in-store. To place an order call (918) 298-8400. Hebert’s expects to begin receiving crawfish shipments at the beginning of February, arriving Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. Staff members recommend calling to order crawfish three days before it is needed. Hebert’s offers them cooked or live. Although price is not confirmed, the store expects crawfish to be $2.95-$3.95 per pound during the first weeks, with prices dropping in April. Also available in-store are a variety of boil seasonings.

This year’s Crawfest is tentatively set for Saturday, May 17. Crawfest is an annual event with live Cajun music and plenty of crawfish to go around.

Store hours are Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hebert’s is closed Sundays. For more information on Hebert’s Specialty Meats, visit www.hebertsmeats.com or call (918) 298-8400.
