Hit Musical Jersey Boys Tells Frankie Valli Story

Tickets are on sale for Tulsa’s premiere engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical “Jersey Boys,” the story of The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. It is playing the Tulsa Performing Arts Center June 6-24 and is presented in Tulsa by Celebrity Attractions. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were 30 years old.

Welcomed by ONEOK, “Jersey Boys” will premiere at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center June 6-24. The performance schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. There will also be two Thursday matinee performances on June 7 and 21 starting at 2 p.m. Prices start at $25. Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, “Jersey Boys” won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and continues to break box office records on Broadway and across North America. Seen by approximately 14 million people, the play is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

The “Jersey Boys” design and production team comprises Klara Zieglerova (scenic design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Howell Binkley (winner of the 2006 Tony Award for the lighting design), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound design), Michael Clark (projections design), Charles LaPointe (wig and hair design), Steve Orich (orchestrations) and Ron Melrose (music direction, vocal arrangements and incidental music).

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of “Jersey Boys,” produced by Bob Gaudio, was recently certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The cast recording is now available on Rhino Records. “Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons” (Broadway Books) is the official handbook to the Broadway hit. “Seasons Greetings: A Jersey Boys Christmas,” is a new holiday CD featuring cast members, produced by Bob Gaudio, is now available on Rhino Records.
