Hoopsters Making Impact with Area Teams

Area basketball teams have been playing impressively recently, and the players featured here are contributing to much of the success. From left, OSU’s Marcus Smart, a 6’4” guard and highly regarded freshman, has been “sensational” and “fantastic” in helping the Cowboys beat both Kansas and OU.
Warren Niles of , a 6’5” senior guard from Cincinnati, holds several school records and hopes to lead his team to the Southland Conference championship and a trip to the Tournament.
James Woodard of TU, a highly regarded freshman from Edmond Memorial, has been named the C- Conference player of the week and is helping his team finish strong.
Tulsa 66ers Rasual Butler from LaSalle is averaging nearly 20 points per game and is a true pro, having played for the Miami Heat, LA Clippers, Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors.
