Hundreds of Census Jobs Available


Kansas City — The U.S. Census Bureau has hundreds of Census temporary jobs performing door-to-door follow-up in Garfield, Kingfisher, Osage, Pawnee, Payne, Tulsa, Creek, Seminole, Pottawatomie, Okmulgee and Okfuskee Counties in Oklahoma.

Census jobs are ideal for just about anyone looking to earn some extra money this summer such as teachers (active, retired and substitute), students (18 years old), parents and retired persons. To be eligible for census employment, applicants must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, take a basic skills test, and pass a background check.

These are temporary, part-time jobs that in some areas may last up to several weeks and offer reimbursement for mileage incurred while doing census work. Census jobs offer great pay, flexible hours and paid training. In Oklahoma, the pay rate for census takers is more than $10 per hour.
