University of Tulsa junior Justin Hurtt was recently named the C- Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
In wins over and Ohio, Hurtt scored a team-high 21 points in each game. He averaged 21.0 points while shooting 57-percent from the field, 54-percent from three-point range and 86-percent from the free throw line, while hitting the game-winning free throws against Ohio.
It’s the first weekly honor for a Golden Hurricane player this year, and the first career award for Hurtt.
Tulsa has posted a 7-1 record and hosts against Jackson State Dec. 17. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m. at the Reynolds Center.
