It’s Time to Think About Spring

Resolve to shop. That’s the motto this season. Springtime is just a patent peep-toe away. With all the hot glamour and sassy footwear out there, from Hype’s Nautical Wedges complete with rope detailing to Seychelles yellow patent peep-toe pump with black piping, you will feel like a 50’s pin-up girl with a Y2K twist, of course.
Despite the past weeks where the weather was holding in the 20’s, Tulsa fashionistas are ready to lose the ugg’s, throw off the gloves, scarfs and puffy coats and to adorn themselves with items such as light-weight shrunken blazers or tailored shirt-dresses tied off with an obi or another choice belt, always adding a jolt of color.
Think old Hollywood by keeping the style tailored, shrunken, smooth and sleek. This season is about being sexy without being too revealing. Enhance a trim waist with a full skirt and a pair of sky-high heels. Pull out all the stops, girls. No need to break your bank account either as this season’s hottest looks can be found at affordable prices.
Ben Sherman, a new addition to Isabellas, has very reasonable price points that are designed for everyone. Layering is key. Wear your old tank under a fitted puffy sleeve shirt and top it off with a sexy argyle sweater vest. Add a miniskirt in marine blue or crisp white pumps.
Want to indulge? Try a silky wrap dress with all the trimmings or a swingy top with forgiving material, great for every body type. Bony or “bootylicious,” all body types can be hip and maintain this season’s fashion finds.
Don’t skimp on accessories. Chunky beaded necklaces, earrings in bright hues or silk tail headbands can make your drab day into a fab day at the turn of a clasp. Grab an oversized bag for the office and a clutch for happy hour.
This season dress like you mean it and attract the attention you deserve. Clothing for spring is simple and elegant. Pull out the black and white, add a splash of red or yellow, and you’ve got it made. It’s easy to be in the trend without looking like you fell out of a confusing sale bin.
Remember, dress to impress, smile pretty and try not to break too many hearts.
