Jackie Cooper’s Tulsa Cup
He’s at it again. Coach Bill Brogden is recruiting golfers at area clubs and businesses to play in the 20th Annual Tulsa Cup & Mercedes Dealer Championship. The tournament, presented by Jackie Cooper Imports, is June 27 at Cedar Ridge Country Club. Proceeds benefit the University of Tulsa Men’s Golf Program. Teams of eight will compete for the famed Tulsa Cup team award and three individual players will advance to the Mercedes Dealer Championship at LaCosta in November. Cost is $300 per person. Brogen recently made national news when he pulled his golf team out ot the WAC Tournamant sudden-death championship playoff to get the players back for their final exams. TU had to forfeit the title to SMU.
