Jenks Agent Receives State Award
HEALTHY OFFICE: Jenks State Farm Insurance Agent Justin Carlton and his team recently received the Excellence designation from the Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business.
In February, Justin Carlton and his Jenks-based State Farm Insurance team were awarded the Excellence designation from the Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business. They were the only State Farm office in Oklahoma to receive this honor.
Carlton attributes the award to the results of his office’s corporate wellness program, Nihi – the Cherokee word for “You.”
“We want to prove that even a small business can find ways to impact an employee beyond their wages earned,” he says. “The responsibility of being a business owner now expands outside the scope of profit and loss and encompasses a responsibility to the health and well-being of the individual.
“This is a proud moment not just for our office but also for the community of Jenks, demonstrating that once again we are leaders with innovative practices.”

The Certified Healthy Oklahoma Program began in 2003 as a collaborative initiative with four founding partners: The Oklahoma Turning Point Council, the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, the Oklahoma State Chamber and the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
