Jim Roth to Speak on the State of Alternative Energy in Oklahoma
JIM ROTH is a former Corporations Commissioner. He will be speaking for free in a brown bag lunch at the Circle Cinema in Tulsa Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Tulsa Young Professionals and the Circle Cinema present a discussion with Jim Roth, former Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner. Roth will speak about the current power generation in Oklahoma and our State’s potential for increasing production of renewable energy and alternative fuels. He will tie in how these industries relate to the attraction and retention of Young Professionals.
The talk is part of ros’ GreenSpeak series, which are open to the public.
ABOUT : Hand-selected by Governor Brad Henry to serve as Corporation Commissioner on June 1, 2007, Roth held the office through December 2008. He was first elected county commissioner in 2002 and, in 2006, was the first re-elected county commissioner in over a decade. Prior to serving as County Commissioner, Roth served eight years as a chief deputy and attorney to the Oklahoma County Clerk and a previous administration for District One of the county commission. A graduate of the Kansas State University, Roth received his law degree from Oklahoma City University in 1994. He is a member of the American, Oklahoman and Kansas Bar Associations.
