Kissing A Pig!

ROOTING FOR HOGGYWOOD: Community leaders gathered at Carrabbas’ Italian Grill recently to celebrate the beginning of the sixth annual Kiss a Pig, the major fund-raising event of the Tulsa Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. The person (Pig) that raises the most money will be honored to Kiss a Pig, otherwise known as Miss Porkchop.This year’s Big Pigs are Ray Baumgarten, Arvest; Tulsa First Lady Kathy LaFortune; Pam Brown and Liz Lockman, community volunteers; Karen Byrd, Associated Mortgage Corp.; Keerston Curry, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group; Johnny Garrison, Community Bank and Trust; Lina Holmes, Studio Fifty-One; Shelly Huggins, Miss Jackson’s; Sgt. Dave Roberts, Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office; Matt Lambeth, The Platinum Center; Bud Lauhon, Woodrum, Kenemdo & Cuite; and Susan and Gary McBrien, Morris Noftsgr, Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson. Also, Teresa Perry, Bank of Oklahoma; Dr. Jack Sommers, Community Care Managed Healthcare Plans; Todd Pendergraft, the Medicine Shoppe; and Sarah Yocham, IBC Bank. The Kissing of the Pig event will be held during the “Hooray for Hoggywood Gala??? which will occur on Thursday, May 12 at the Cherokee Casino featuring fabulous food and a live and silent auction with piggrific items, live entertainment, an appearance by Miss Porkchop, music by ‘The Bluhemians’ and much more!
