Tulsa Global Alliance () presents Kids’ World 2012, Nov. 15-17, in the Exchange Center at Expo Square. The event was created in 1993 as a way to promote cultural understanding and peace by creating an inspiring, entertaining and educational event.

There will be hands-on activities, entertainment, and cultural foods. Children will see life-sized replicas from a Mayan temple, Big Ben and a German house; and can enjoy snacks from India, Mexico, South America and the Middle East. Other countries and cultures represented will include Switzerland, Indonesia, China, Norway, the Cherokee Nation, Brazil, Jordan, Russia, France and Taiwan.

Entertainers will perform throughout the three-day festival, including the Zodiac Trio, Chef Remmi, Rebecca Ungerman, the India Association, Zarrow International School, Tulsa Youth Ballet, and fire belly dancers.

The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, The Williams Foundation, TD Williamson, The Helmerich Foundation, The Sharna & Irvin Frank Foundation, Cherokee Nation Cultural Tourism, and others have helped to sponsor the event.

began in 1995 as a merging of the International Council of Tulsa and Sister Cities International of Tulsa. Since its beginnings, has continued to work to increase global understanding and to link people and institutions worldwide. It does this through hosting international visitors and collaborating with international and local organizations.
