KUDOS OF THE MONTH: Tulsa State Fair

For more than 100 years, the Tulsa State Fair has provided a fun family tradition for the area. This year, the event will once again bring exciting rides, educational adventures and the chance to become involved in competitions.
Educational exhibits will teach patrons about a variety of topics including agriculture, photography, veterinary science, conservation and culinary arts.
Both national and local performers will be featured throughout the duration of the event. Every year, the Tulsa State Fair team takes into consideration the areas favorite performers and brings them to the stage.
Contests bring an array of hobbies together throughout the event. Patrons have the opportunity to enter into the contests and compete alongside of one another for honors and awards.
This year, Tulsa Habitat for Humanity will team up with the Tulsa State Fair to build a house for a deserving family on site during the event. The opportunity provided will give patrons a glimpse into the organization.
One of the largest in the world, the Tulsa State Fair boasts more than 800 exhibitors from every county in Oklahoma. Found throughout the fairgrounds, exhibitors offer unique experiences for all patrons who pass by.
The event makes a large impression on the surrounding community. Annually, the economic impact of the entire Expo Square complex has been estimated to be $140 million.
