“Dress for Success is about giving self-esteem and hope…It changed my life….I felt I could do anything and be anyone.” _(Client comments)_

Dress for Success helps women make tailored transitions into the workforce. Best known for providing gently used suits to women for job interviews, Dress for Success Tulsa works year-round to offer support to low-income women.

Women are referred to Dress for Success by a continually expanding array of not-for-profit and government agencies including homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, job training programs and other agencies that focus on assisting women in finding employment. The mission of Dress for Success is direct and immediate. Each client is assisted with utmost dignity and respect by a volunteer “personal shopper.” No fees are ever charged.

Dress for Success Tulsa, an affiliate of the international non-profit, established in New York City, has helped more than 2,500 Tulsa women overcome obstacles to find employment, and advance their careers and their lives.

Donations of appropriate clothing for job interviews and employment may be made by calling Pat Simmons, president, or Trish Thompson, volunteer coordinator at 599-8892 to arrange a drop off time. Financial contributions may be sent to Dress for Success, 1109 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa, Okla. 74120. Donations and contributions are tax-deductible.
