Land Legacy to Hold Special Event at Osage Ranch Club

TULSA, OK – (May 10, 2010) Food, fun and family will come together on June 19, 2010 as Legacy Ranch: A Day of Play and Preservation will offer families a chance to enjoy outdoor activities, great barbecue, music and an educational opportunity to learn more about the mission of Tulsa-based conservation organization Land Legacy.

Celebrating its 8th year in Oklahoma, Land Legacy continues to improve the quality of life in Oklahoma through the conservation of urban and rural landscapes. “Through the protection of our water supply, preserving our precious lands, and establishing urban green spaces like our Centennial Green in downtown Tulsa, we ensure a healthy future for generations to come,” said Robert Gregory, Executive Director of Land Legacy. “And through Legacy Ranch, we aim to expose more people to Land Legacy, and the mission and goals of our group.”

The June 19th event will feature daytime outdoor clinics starting at 3:00 p.m. on archery, skeet shooting, and fishing. More activities are being planned, and all are ideal for adults and children ages 4 and up. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and be ready to spend the afternoon outdoors. Sunscreen and bug spray are encouraged.

From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the mood will get a little more festive, with live music and an awards banquet to honor conservation-minded friends and neighbors.

The event will be hosted at Osage Ranch Club, a 180-acre wooded nature site located about 15 minutes outside of Tulsa.
