The Tulsa Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications sponsored the annual Newsmaker Awards luncheon recently at Southern Hills Country Club. The theme for this year’s awards luncheon was “Shaping our Legacy.”
Recipients of the 2009 Newsmaker Awards are, from left, Peggy Helmerich, philanthropist; Lee Anne Zeigler, executive director and , Tulsa Foundation for Architecture; Glenda Silvey, Saidie Award for Outstanding Achievement; Phyllis Dotson, community volunteer; and Cheena Pazzo for Sister M. Therese Gottschalk, president and , St. John Health System. This year’s presenting sponsor was Phyllis and George Dotson. Joy Jenkins and Molly Jarvis were event co-chairs.
