Legendary Country Star Loretta Lynn will Perform Nov. 5 at Osage Event Center

American country music legend Loretta Lynn will perform live in concert at 7 p.m., Nov. 5, at the Osage Event Center. Tickets starting at $30 are available at the box office at L.L. Tisdale Parkway and 36 Street North. Or call 699-7667.

The strong, independent, hardcore honky-tonk singer won four Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, and 10 Academy of Country Music Awards with hits such as “When the Tingle Becomes a Chill (1975) and “You Ain’t Woman Enough to Take My Man.”

Lynn’s first song ever to hit the Billboard Charts was “Honky Tonk Girl” 50 years ago. Her famous tune “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” was the title of her 1976 autobiography that was later made into an Academy Award-winning film starring Sissy Spacek.

She was honored Oct. 12 this year with the Recording Academy President’s Merit Award and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award at the GRAMMY Salute To Country Music at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

Loretta Lynn teamed up with White Stripes guitarist Jack White in 2004, who produced a two-time GRAMMY-winning album Van Lear Rose.
