Light Opera Oklahoma Brings Three Performances to the Tulsa Area
Light Opera Oklahoma has planned a summer full of events for the Tulsa area. Light Opera Oklahoma’s 2009 season will include Broadway’s My Fair Lady, The Gondoliers and A Little Night Music.
My Fair Lady was the longest running production of any major musical in history. The Gondoliers was Gilbert and Sullivan’s final great production. A Little Night Music was a popular Broadway production in the 1970’s.
The actors, designers, and directors of Light Opera Oklahoma have a challenging task ahead of them while preparing for the season. They not only have to prepare for the most challenging assignment, they have to prepare for three performances at one time. The actors have to memorize a lot of lines and staging cues while the designers must complete three individual sets. The director must keep up with their progress and guide everyone into a great performance.
The 2009 season will began June 7 and will run through July 5. Tickets are priced very reasonably at $29 and $25 per person or $75 and $65 for season passes. Tickets can be purchased through Light Opera Oklahoma by calling 918-583-4267, My Ticket Office by calling 918-596-7111 or by visiting www.myticketoffice.com. Groups of 10 or more will receive a 10% group discount.
