LOOK to Hold STARS Gala
Light Opera Oklahoma (LOOK) will present their annual fundraiser, STARS at the Southern Hills Country Club on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. LOOK Artistic Director Eric Gibson kicks off the 25th anniversary celebration spectacular with a sampling of the 2007 “Men Behaving Badly” season.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and entertainment at 7:30 p.m. Southern Hills’ Executive Chef Devin Levine will be preparing the 25th anniversary feast. Entertainment will be provided during dinner by the LOOK 2007 Company. The 2007 season includes “The Music Man,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Naughty Marietta” and “Trial by Jury.”
All patron level guests will be invited to an “Evening of Stars at the Top of the Phil” at the beautiful home of Nan and Marwin Kemp on June 3 at the historical Philtower Lofts.
The 2007 STARS committee includes Leslie Shelton, Mary Shaw, Josephine Winter, Sue Gerkin, Samantha Vaughn, Mary Anne Lewis, Tom Schoenenberger and Billie Barnett. Proceeds from the dinner will go to support the apprentice program that provides scholarships to young musicians, actors and technicians from across the country. The experience of students working with professional actors from LOOK will allow the students to compete in musical theatre all over the world.
