Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell and City of Jenks Celebrate Widening of Main
City of Jenks leaders, elected officials along with Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell hosted a ribbon cutting Feb. 15 to commemorate the completion of the transportation improvement project to widen Main Street from Elm Street to State Highway 75.
The long-anticipated project to expand the roadway from a two-lane to a four-lane road broke ground in September 2017. Additionally, the project included improvements to intersections, merging, connecting roadways, drainage systems and signage. The Main Street widening project was funded by City of Jenks general obligation bonds in partnership with additional investment from Tulsa County “Four-to-fix the County” funds and Federal Highway Transportation funds.
