Luper Earns Second Scholar-Athlete Honor
Junior guard Kevi Luper of Oral Roberts University has been named to the 2012 Division I- Athletic Directors Association Scholar-Athlete team, it was announced today.
The DI- award is the second academic honor of the season for Luper, who is also a member of the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District team.
A native of Adair, Luper holds a 3.49 in Business Administration.
Luper, who averaged 24.0 points and 3.8 steals per game this season, also piled up awards for her on-court performance in 2011-12. The junior added her third straight Summit League Player of the Year honor to the trophy case, and she was named 2nd Team Mid-Major All-American by College Sports Madness.
Earlier in the season, Luper was named to the Naismith Trophy watch list. She broke both the and Summit League career scoring records in 2011-12.
Luper led the Golden Eagles to a 20-11 record this season and a third straight Women’s bid.
