Mayor and Victoria Bartlett To Kick Off Mentoring to the Max in 2010


Mayor Dewey Bartlett and First Lady Victoria Bartlett, who is the new spokesperson for the Mayor’s Mentoring to the Max initiative will hold a press conference to kick off Mayor’s Mentoring Month: Mentoring to the Max, at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 21 at Cleveland Middle School, 724 N. Birmingham Ave. Parking for the media will be available on the street in front of the school.

Mayor Bartlett, First Lady Victoria Bartlett, the Mayor’s office and other key supporters of the mentoring initiative include: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma; Camp Fire ; Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa and Tulsa Area Community Schools Initiative; Junior Achievement; Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence; Partners in Education; Resonance; Tulsa Public Schools and Union Public Schools.

The Mayor’s Mentoring to the Max initiative is dedicated toward raising public awareness about the need for more mentors to nurture Tulsa Public School and Union Public School students throughout the semester. Mayor Bartlett is challenging Tulsans to become mentors and make a positive difference in the lives of Tulsa’s great kids and build a safer city.
