Mayor to Announce Newly Formed Mentoring Coalition


TULSA, Okla. – Mayor Dewey Bartlett, joined by his wife, Victoria Bartlett, as well as non-profit organizations, higher education officials, and Hamilton lunch buddies and students will hold a news conference at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 6 at Hamilton Middle School, 2316 North Norwood Place.

The purpose of the news conference is to introduce the newly formed Tulsa County Mentoring Coalition to the community, share how this collaboration will benefit Tulsa County children and youth, and create a call to action to recruit more adults to mentor our young people.

The newly formed mentoring coalition is made up of 16 key non-profit organizations, government agencies, as well as K-12 education and higher education groups, dedicated to recruiting, placing, training, following up with, and retaining more adults to serve as caring adults in the lives of children and youth in Tulsa County.
